The President of France's recent initiative for a
Mediterranean Bloc is a further move to a United States of Europe and a United States of the World. The group, if successfully allied, could be a logical future Southern addition to the European Union, complimenting its current Eastward expansion into the former Soviet Republics.
The European Union is planned already to have 42 countries by 2012 thanks to the Schengen Expansion.
The Mediterranean Bloc consists of the 15 countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, echoing the constituents of the Roman Empire prior to ~500AD (the pit of Kali Yuga) and a unifying force enclosing Christians, Jews, Muslems and countries who previously have never met at the same table.
